With nearly a gazillion locations nationwide and stands in pretty much every major (and minor) airport, bus station, lobby, waiting room, grocery store and some of the finer port-a-johns, Starbucks is the ubiquitous force of caffeine supply to the known universe. As such, this week I bring you a whole GauchoTV episode all about Starbucks.
There’s been a lot of news at the ‘bucks this week. They’ve been relaunching their own internal products, offering short-term deals on their hot-weather staple, the Frapuccino, and despite declining sales in the face of a soft economy they have made some bids to expand and diversify their brand. With the purchase and expansion of Seattle’s Best, Starbucks is trying to get the 2% of the population of Earth that hasn’t at one time or another purchased their coffee for whatever reason, to finally pony up and get their caffeine fix.
Additionally, this episode is the first TOO HOT for GAUCHOTV! At least in so far as I had to bleep out some dirty words. But it was in the name of bringing you an accurate news story! Thanks to consumerist.com, who I took the story and the image from. The folks at Consumerist run a really cool consumer advocacy site and big ups to them for doing so.
You also get the bonus of a Top 5 ways to save money on coffee. But if you’re like me, you will start skipping meals before you skimp on your coffee. It’s just TOO important!
