Setler’s of Catan has been hitting board game lovers across the world. If you haven’t heard of it, then you’ve likely been living in a highly secluded area and don’t have enough board game parties with friends. So for this Daily Gift Idea, we’re suggesting you check out what the folks at Mayfair Games have for us Catan lovers!

If you know someone who loves board games and they don’t have this game, get it for them. It’s a simple game to play, and usually lasts tops 2 hours for 3-4 people playing (from my experience). The game is based on an island where you inhabit different areas, collect resources, and build structures. Best of all for your friends who are already Catan freaks, there are plenty of expansion sets and cool accessories for your Catan experience. Sounds geeky, doesn’t it!

The Catan game (basic) goes for around $40, and accessories range in price. This isn’t too bad price-wise for a pretty extensive board game, but if you’d like to go more frugal, check out Craigslist and see if anyone is selling theirs!
